In the mean time the Old Granny was out to purchase groceries .She has to go to the nearby town to get those things to go there she has to cross the forest where the Crow and the fox live.

When she was on her way she suddenly noticed the Crow waiting for the Fox with the Vadai in the mouth .When she saw the crow with Vadai she got very furious and she wanted to do something to the crow inorder to take revenge on it.

so she stealthily climbed the tree behind the crow (see the pic to the left),she was very careful that the crow does not notice her.She crept slowly behind the crow and all of a sudden she took a grip hold of the crow.

The Crow did not expect this sudden attack and Cried in panic Kaaaaaaaaaa.

The Crow after losing the vadai had a burning desire to avenge the Fox but outwardly it does not show itself as distressed.

And on a bright new morning the crow once again set out in search of food and it was a lucky day as it saw a woman offering some padayal(offerings -It was the belief of the traditional people in India that the Forefathers live in the earth in the form of crows) to the crows ,and the crow was lucky to see a Vadai there and it happily took that Vadai and flew into the forest.

And there came the wily old Fox again and started singing the same old song of flattery towards the crow.

Although Crow was was given to flattery it was quite conscious this time ,so this time in a wise manner caught hold of the Vadai with it’s leg and Sang a beautiful song Kaa kakaa kaaa kakakaka.

The fox was diapponted and realised that it has been fooled by the crow and so it left the place heads-down.

(see it’s diappointed face over here)

Moral: Be updated with new Technologies and Techniques don’t be an Old fool.

Fox,Crow and Granny a Triangular Vadai Story:Volume-1

Posted in Fox-crow-Granny by ~Joel.red~ on the December 21, 2006

Long long ago, very long ago, so long ago.

There lived a old granny who was earning her wages by selling the vadais that she makes .

(see her below but she is not cooking any vadai it’s dosai)

And one day she was busy making the vadai’s and there came a crow and sat in the tree next to her .(see the crow below)

the crow was damn hungry,as it was not able get anything for it’s belly since the dawn. When the crow saw the hot vadais that the Granny was cooking the tongue of the crow started watering.(see the vadais below it’s exactly the same vadai)

The crow was sure that Granny will shoo it away when it tries to ask her a vadai, but the crow was so hungry does not know what to do,it thought there was no other go than to steal, but the crow was brought up in a good moral background,so there arised a moral dilemma in the mind of the crow whether to steal or not. But, according to the famous saying in tamil “Hunger knows no manners” the crow at last decided to steal and snatched a vadai

and flew away into the nearby forest and sat in a tree comfortably to feast on the vadai.

And in that forest there lived a wily old Fox(see the fox below)

the fox too was hungry and while on its search for food it came near the tree where the crow was .

.

and the Fox was so proud that it cannot ask for such a mean bird as crow to share some of it’s meal ,so it decided to go on a trick and decieve the crow so that it can steal away the vadai from the crow.

so the Fox started praising the crow,”Oh you beautiful where were you so long, i was searching for you since morning, see i am very anxious to hear those melodious songs of you .would you please sing one of your song for me said the fox.

The crow almost fainted in the flattery and was decieved by it and to top every foolishness opened it’s mouth to sing a song-Alas the vadai fell down from it’s beak and the Fox who was waiting for this spared no time to fetch that vadai and ran away and away and away deep into the Forest.

Moral:

  • What you sow shall you reap.
  • cheat to be cheated .
  • Don’t give heed to flattery.
